At the first mediation session, typically the first 30 minutes is a general introductory period and this 30 minutes is free, so the first mediation session may take up to 2.5 hours.  Thereafter, mediation sessions are scheduled for 2 hours.  Fees are assessed per the mediator’s hourly rate plus gross receipts tax.


The benefits of mediation process are extensive:  financially it is cost-effective and preserves the parties’ financial resources; emotionally, it minimizes animosity and stress, puts the parties in control, maintain the parties’ dignity and privacy; and, prenatally, it promotes effective co-parenting.
